Liliu joins Birkirkara FC

Birkirkara FC continued to strengthen its squad as Ellinton Morais, popularly known as Liliu, has signed a two year contract with our Club.

Ellinton was born on 30 March 1990 and the twenty-four year old is a Brazilian striker who was on trial with our Club for the last few days. He featured in the friendly match played last Friday against Hibernians where he left a very good impression due to his technique and striking skills.

Before joining our Club, he was playing with Hapoel Ra'anana in Isreal on loan from Ethnikos Achna. During season 2013-2014, he scored five goals with Ethnikos Achna.

‘Liliu' will be the third foreigner in the attacking department, as he will join the Brazilians Eliandro Gonzaga and Rafael Ledesma. Also, the Club has retained last year's foreign defensive trio of Alejandro Mendoza, Matheus Bissi and Nikola Vukanac, and signed Spanish goalkeeper, Adrian Sanchez..
