Miroslav Kopric hails from Croatia and he was born on the 23 December 1984. He plays as a goalkeeper and he joined our Club in the 2016 January Transfer Market.
Kopric, who had played his entire football career in his country, enjoyed a wonderful six-year spell with second division Croatian side HNK Gorica. Joining them in the 2009-2010 season, He was also regular choice particularly in the last three seasons. Before Gorica, he also had other spells with a host of Croatian clubs namely NK Varazdin, NK Krizevci, NK Kamen Ingrad and NK Vinogradar.
Following his successful spell with Gorica, Miroslav joined NK Lucko, a Croatian Club in the second highest division of Croatia in the 2015-2016 season. He was the regular goalkeeper as he made nineteen appearances till the end of December.
With the Club appointing new Head Coach Mr. Drazen Besek and regular goalkeeper Justin Haber suffering an injury that was estimated to rule him out for more than six weeks, the Club opted to sign a new foreign goalkeeper.
The choice fell on the Croatian goalkeeper Miroslav Kopric and he signed one and a half year contract with our Club on Saturday, 9 January 2016. He made his debut in the 1-0 victory over Valletta FC in the fourth round of the FA Trophy where he kept a clean-sheet thanks to a very satisfactory performance.
Kopric did well in his first five months on our island. He was quick to win a regular place as in fact he played all matches till the end of the season, bar one due to a one-match ban. In his seventeen matches played, he managed to keep eighth clean-sheets.
Following a very positive first season with our Club, Miroslav was offered a new contract with our Club, which he signed on Friday, 10 June 2016.
