Ronaille Calheira is Brazilian, who was born on 29 March 1984 and the Brazilian forward joined our Club in the 2014 January Transfer Market.
Ronaille is rated as a prolific striker thanks to his striking skills that makes him an excellent forward inside the box who is not only capable with his powerful shots but he posses also good quality when it comes to headers to make him as a complete striker.
The Brazilian forward began his Youth Career with the Brazilian side Atletico Mineiro before moving to Colo-Colo where he had his first spell of professional football. With Colo Colo spent five years and in 2008 he was loaned out twice to Deportes Quindío and Sport Ancash. In eighteen appearances he made for Colo Colo, he managed to net 21 goals.
During his professional career, Ronaille enjoyed several positive spells especially in his native country in Brazil namely spells with Leon de Huanuco where he made thirty-six appearances while netting thirteen goals in the 2010-2011 season and in the 2012-2013 in his second spell with the same club, he made thirteen appearances and scoring three goals.
Season 2013-2014
The 2013-2014 season gifted a new opportunity to Ronaille in his football career as the Brazilian forward moved to the Maltese Islands for the first time after he was released from the books of Salgueiro FC.
Ronaille was brought to Malta by Tarxien Rainbows FC and he signed a one-year contract with the Club on the 7 August. He made his debut in the BOV Premier League in the first match on the 18 August in the narrow 1-0 defeat against Hibernians in the opening match of the league.
Birkirkara were enjoying sole leadership in the BOV Premier League but this wasn't enough to have a convincing forward line and the Club began to search for to strengthen its forward line in the January Transfer Market.
In the last days of the Transfer Market, Birkirkara reached an agreement with Tarxien Rainbows to swap Birkirkara’s Demba Toure with Ronaille Calheira who moved to the Stripes on Wednesday, 29 January 2014.
Ronaille made his debut with Birkirkara FC on the 8 February in the comfortable 4-1 victory over Vittoriosa FC. The Brazilian forward was included as a substitute on the sixty-second minutes when came off Jhonnattann Benites.
During his loan spell with our Club, Ronaille made eleven appearances in the BOV Premier League after he began two matches while he was included seven times as a substitute. He managed to score two goals.
After his loan spell expired, Ronaille returned to his club, Tarxien Rainbows FC.
