Terence Vella was born on 20 April 1990 and he joined our Club in the 2010 Summer Transfer Market.
Terence is a product of Gudja United Youth Nursery and from a very young age he has always shown great determination and proven his skills whenever he played. His attacking skills make it difficult for any defense to contain. Terence has all the necessary skills for the striker position, especially his powerful shot.
Youth Career
Terence began playing football at the young age of nine years with his home-town Gudja United FC, where he was forming part of the Gudja FC's Youth Nursery.
From the beginning of his youth career, Terence's skills was clear to notice and his attacking prowess began to catch the eye of several other clubs.
Season 2008-2009
It was no wonder that interest from other local clubs began to increase and Terence went in search of a new adventure, as he was loaned out to Pieta Hotspurs FC in the 2008-2009 season.
During this season, Vella had a satisfactory season, as despite his young age of just eighteen, he continued to improve his skills and he continued to prove his potential.
Season 2009-2010
After have enjoyed a satisfactory 2008-2009 season with Pieta Hotspurs FC, Terence returned to his club Gudja but not for too long as First Division side, Mosta FC managed to acquire the promising youngster on a one-year loan. Once again, Vella managed to have another satisfactory season as he continued to establish himself as one of the most promising forwards on the island.
He made his debut with the Blues on the 21 November 2009, in a match against San Gwann where Mosta emerged as winners with a 2-1 result. He managed to make 14 appearances and score two goals in the BOV First Division League.
In the Maltco Lotteries First Division Knock-Out, the promising youngster made two appearances while scoring three goals. On 12 October 2009, the 'Blues' managed to beat Melita with a 4-2 score line, with Terence scoring a brace. Seven days later, on 19 October he scored another goal for Mosta when they beat San Gwann with a score of 4-0.
Season 2010-2011
Following another excellent season with Mosta, his satisfactory performances continued to catch the eye of many, this time getting attention from the clubs of the BOV Premier League Division.
With the Stripes searching for a forward player, the choice fell on Terence Vella. He joined our Club on the 20 August 2010.
Terence's first season with Birkirkara was a positive one. In the Premier League, he made 21 appearances and he started the match nine times, while he was included as a substitute no less than 12 times. In the same competition, Terence managed to score four goals.
Season 2011-2012
After having an excellent season with our Club in the first year, the Stripes decided to acquire the services of Terence Vella from Gudja United on a permanent basis, and the promising youngster signed a five-year contract on Monday, 20 June 2011.
However, his move to our Club did not give Terence the opportunity to play, as in this season, the Stripes strengthened their forward line which resulted in the promising youngster finding little space in the first-eleven selection.
For the best of Terence, who was seeking more playing time at his young age, Vella was loaned out to Premier League Division side Mosta FC in the last day of the January Transfer Market till the end of the season.
With Mosta, Terence made five appearances in which he began twice while he was included as a substitute three times.
Season 2012-2013

During his spell with the Spartans, Terence managed to score six goals.
However, his positive spell with the Spartans not the highlight of the promising forward in that season, as Vella had a major other highlight in this season.
