Birkirkara FC Women's Team arrives in Turin
by Clayton Schembri - 24th July 2021The contingent of Birkirkara FC made up of 19 players, technical staff members and club officials have arrived in Turin, Italy on Saturday morning for their four-day training camp that will include a prestigious friendly match against Juventus FC on Sunday evening.
The contingent will have two training sessions on Saturday and Monday in Garino at 17:00. This training camp is held to prepare in the best possible way for the upcoming UEFA Women's Champions League commitments in mid-August.
The limelight of this training camp will be on Sunday evening when the Stripes will be involved in a prestigious friendly match against Juventus FC. The match, which will be played at the Juventus Training Centre and kicks off at 18:30 will be streamed live on Juventus TV.
Coach Melania Bajada's selection for this training camp includes Malta International defender Charlene Zammit and Ruth Steer Chetham. The club has agreed on a deal in principle with Swieqi United FC for the definite transfer of both players.
The contingent will return to Malta on Tuesday, 27th July.
