When yesterday evening they registered their twelfth consecutive victory this season in the BOV Women's League and strengthened their position on top of the table after securing an incredible 6-0 victory against Mtarfa FC.
In a match that saw the Stripes in control throughout the ninety minutes, a goal each by Raina Giusti and Mariah Cardona. While, Alishia Sultana and Veronique Mifsud scored a brace.
Thanks to this victory, the Stripes have opened a temporally eleven-point lead over Swieqi United FC who takes on Raiders FC this evening.
The Stripes made their intentions clear to notice and they broke the dead-lock after four minutes, thanks to Alishia Sultana.
Boosted by the opening goal, The Stripes doubled their lead on the 19 minutes, thanks to Veronique Mifsud.
Alishia Sultana scored again on the 32 minutes and three became four three minutes later, thanks to Veronique Mifsud.
The Stripes made them five on the 39 minutes thanks to Mariah Cardona and ended the first-half with a comfortable five-goal lead.
Five became six on the 54 minutes, thanks to Raina Giusti.
Coach Melania Bajada handed the debut to a 14 year-old player Thea Tedesco on the 70 minutes.
