Match Preview - Birkirkara FC Vs. Mosta FC

Birkirkara FC will start their second round of the BOV Premier League on Sunday afternoon and will be aiming to return to winning ways after they draw against Santa Lucia in their last match. The Stripes will take on Mosta FC in a match that will be played at the National Stadium and kicks off at 14:00.
In the beginning of the season, The Stripes seemed to have lost the pace with the front-three in this season league campaign, but a string of nine positive results that saw them winning six and getting three draws have lifted their aspirations for a place in European competitions next season.
Birkirkara are currently occupying the sixth place on twenty-five points but, can climb to the fifth or fourth place. However, this is based on several factors, since The Stripes are currently one point behind Mosta and three points behind Gzira and Sliema. Thus, only a victory will satisfy their expectations of securing the fifth place, while hoping for a slip-up from Gzira or Sliema to climb to the fourth place and keeping their slim hopes alive and kicking to challenge for the league titles.
