Youth Academy U-10 to U-13 Trials

Birkirkara FC Youth Academy is going to hold open trials for the Under-10's to the Under-13's age-groups and it is inviting boys and girls who are willing to join one of the best Youth Academies in Malta to join these open trials.

The main emphasis remains on quality over quantity and in view of this, the Youth Academy is committed to select 16 boys and 2 girls from every age-group.

However, girls not selected during these trials will still have the opportunity to train with girls' team of their age-group. For the first time, the Youth Academy will be also competing in the new Girls Under-15's League.

During these trials, players will be assessed by five (5) coaches, in which one (1) of the coaches will be from outside the club, and they will assessed on the following criteria:

1) Technical Ability
2) Tactical insight
3) Physical abilities (Mainly co-ordinative capacities)
4) Coachability

Each of the following criteria has a maximum of five points for a total of twenty (20) points.

These trials will be organised at the end of September and the dates will be confirmed in the upcoming days.
