UWCL debut for Willis and Mifsud

Birkirkara FC forwards Kailey Willis and Veronique Mifsud made their debut in the UEFA Women's Champions League, as both players started the match in the narrow 1-0 defeat against Gintra Universitetas FC, on Wednesday evening.

Both players are still just sixteen years old, but after playing regular football last season, they were given the nod for their debut by Coach Melania Bajada. Willis was substituted twelve minutes from time, while Mifsud played the full match.

Official return for Buttigieg

Club's latest signing, Simone Buttigieg, made her official return with Birkirkara FC as she was included as a substitute three minutes from time by replacing Tracy Teuma.
