Ayrton Attard named in Malta U-21's National Team

Birkirkara FC Under-19's Team forward Ayrton Attard was selected with the Malta Under-21s National Team for the friendly match against Bosnia & Herzegovina Under-21's side at the National Stadium on 5 June 2019.

Attard was rewarded for his fantastic performances in season 2018-2019 that helped the Stripes win the Youths League Section A. Attard ended the league campaign as the league's top scorer.

He is one of the twenty-four players selected in the provisional squad by Coach Silvio Vella and his assistant Noel Turner for training in preparation for the match against Bosnia which is part of Malta's build-up for the UEFA European U-21 Championship Group 8 qualifying matches.

The Malta U-21s kick off their campaign with an away doubleheader against Northern Ireland and Ukraine in September. The other teams in Group Eight are Denmark, Romania, and Finland.
