Neil Micallef signs first contract - joins Santa Lucia FC on loan

Birkirkara FC Youth Academy product Neil Micallef signed his first professional contract with our club, after he agreed terms for a long-term contract. Micallef will be loaned to BOV First Division League side Santa Lucia FC for the rest of this season.

Micallef, who was the captain of the Under-19's Team for this season, has joined Zack Cassar, Nick Borg and Ayrton Attard in signing the first professional contract, following several years in our Youth Academy. On his request, Micallef will join Santa Lucia FC on loan for the rest of the season.

On signing his first contract, Neil said, “I am very happy that Birkirkara FC offered me a contract and that I had the opportunity to sign my first ever contract with the club that I started, and I grew up with. It has always been my wish that my first contract would be with this club.”

We would like to congratulate Neil on signing his first contract while wishing him all the best of luck in his adventure with Santa Lucia FC.
