Terence Agius delighted with debut victory
by Ayrton Galea - 1st February 2018Midfielder Terence Agius was delighted for starting his journey with our Club with a solid 5-0 victory over Senglea Athletic FC. The midfielder spoke to this website following his debut with our Club last Saturday.
Terence joined our Club in the January Transfer Market from Balzan FC on loan till the end of the season. The twenty-four-year-old midfielder had a satisfactory debut as he was included as a substitute twenty minutes inside the second half.
How did the move to Birkirkara FC became possible?
I must say that it happened very fast in just a couple of hours. After having a chat with the Technical Director Michael Valenzia and the coach Mr. Paul Zammit, I believe they made my decision much easier and I would like to thank them for believing in my abilities to help the club reach its objectives.
How are you feeling following joining our Club? Do you feel settled?
Basically I knew some players already but even the other players and staff that I am working with for my first time, welcomed me with open arms. Thanks to that, settling in was easier than expected.
Have you found anything different in Birkirkara FC than any other Club?
The set-up is the most professional set-up I have experienced so far in Malta. There are certain details that help the player obtaining the right mentality and attitude to work hard and improve daily.
What are your comments on the match?
I think that Senglea started well and were tactically good in the first part of the first half but I believe that we made our intentions clear and basically dominated the game after the first goal.
You had a satisfactory debut. What are your comments on your first match with our Club?
I wish that all the coming games will be the same as my debut. On a personal note I was very happy to have started off this journey with a solid win.
What are the team's targets at this stage?
With the way things are going I see Birkirkara challenging for the two main trophies in Malta. We are humble enough to know that it is not easy, but we are working every day so at the end of the season we will be able to look back with no regrets.
What is your message to the supporters?
I'd like to thank all the supporters for their messages and for being our 12th man on the pitch.
