Birkirkara FC unveil new sponsorship with St. James Hospital
by Ayrton Galea - 15th December 2017Birkirkara FC has unveiled St. James Hospital as the new Club's sponsor which will include financial sponsorship to the Club and medical services to all Birkirkara FC players. This was announced during a press conference held on Friday afternoon at the same hospital.
Club's President Mr. Frank Zarb opened the press conference by showing his gratitude towards St. James Hospital for their interest and trust in the Club. Mr. Zarb continued by saying that the Club must always insure their players with the best medical system for its players, and it was in view of this reason that the Club is collaborating with one of the best hospitals in Malta.
Mr. Zarb confirmed that as a Club, it will continue to work and strengthen further the relationship with St. James Hospital, while thanked them for their excellent service that they are offering.
Head Coach Mr. Paul Zammit praised the services of the hospital and he thanked all doctors that help the players. He continued by saying that if Maltese Clubs aim to reach near the professional level, they should have strong medical system and clearly that this new sponsor with St. James Hospital show this.
On the other hand, Executive Leader of the hospital's laboratory, Mr. Paul Sultana said that this is a new beginning between the two sides, although it isn't the first one of its type due that the hospital had involvement in sports via sponsorship with the committee of Malta Olympics and Malta Basketball Association.
Mr. Sultana went on saying that the hospital has always been on the front-line to provide the best cure to everyone. St. James was the first hospital that introduced the MRI services on our island, more than fifteen years ago.
The executive leader said that Birkirkara FC have now insured their players and he encouraged all other Maltese Clubs to follow this example. Birkirkara FC registered members will be having a 10% discount on their medical services.
