Women: Birkirkara FC 15-0 Tarxien Rainbows FC

Champions Birkirkara FC Women's Team registered their sixth consecutive victory in the BOV Women's League, when they defeated Tarxien Rainbows FC with an incredible 15-0 score.

In a one-sided match, Birkirkara found no difficulty to dominate their opponents and they scored eight goals in the first-half thanks to a brace each of Raina Giusti, Tracy Teuma, Samantha Zarb and Sarah Urpani.

BOV Women's League top-scorer Raina Giusti added another two in the second half with Mariah Sciberras notiching a brace while Alishia Sultana, Gabriella Zahra and Yasmeen Vella scoring a goal each in the biggest victory of the season so far.

Under-19's Team players Jessica Farrugia Cross and Sarah Cassar made their debut with the Senior Team, as they both were included as substitutes in the second half. Goalkeeper Janice Xuereb captained the team for her first time ever in a competitive match while Gabriella Zahra scored her fiftieth goal in all competitions with our Club.

The Stripes will now be involved in the top of the table clash against Hibernians next Thursday.
