Four U19 Players in yesterday's line-up

Birkirkara FC had four players from the Under-19's Team and a total of eighth Youth Academy products in yesterday's line-up for the FA Trophy third-round match against Santa Lucia FC, where the Stripes won the match with a comfortable 5-0 score.

Gianluca Zammit, Neil Micallef, Nick Borg and Zack Cassar were the four players called-up from the Under-19's Team. Furthermore, Zammit, Micallef and Borg were all handed their debut as they came on as substitutes with Zammit also managing to find the back of the net as he scored Birkirkara's fifth goal.

On the other hand, the other four Youth Academy products in the line-up namely Kurt Zammit, Luke Montebello, Ryan Camenzuli and Ryan Scicluna are now all established players in the top division, despite their young-age. In fact, their age is between the twenty-one and twenty-four years old.
