Under-17's Team defeated by Mosta

Birkirkara FC Under-17's Team gave a spirited performance but they still walked out empty-handed as joined leaders of the APS Bank Under-17's League Section A Mosta came back from behind to earn a difficult 3-1 victory.

The Stripes surged ahead on the fourteenth minute thanks to Karl Caruana but Mosta equalised before half-time to end the first-half odds even. The Blues scored early in the second half and hit the Stripes with the third on the counter for a final 3-1 score.

After twelve matches played and just two matches to go, the Stripes are in the third place with sixteen points level with Balzan, just one point over Floriana and Hibernians, three over Pieta Hotspurs and eleven over bottom-placed San Gwann. Mosta and Hamrun Spartans are joined leaders twenty-nine points.
