Under-15's Team holds Qormi thanks to a late goal
by Ayrton Galea - 14th February 2016Birkirkara FC Under-15's Team extended their unbeaten run in the APS Bank Under-15's League Section A to seven matches when Carlo Zammit Lonardelli scored at the last stages of the match to earn Birkirkara a point in a 1-1 draw against Qormi.
In a balanced match on Sunday morning, Qormi surged ahead three minutes inside the second half but the Stripes made a reaction and they kept pushing forward before Carlo Zammit Lonardelli made the score level.
The Stripes consolidated their third place with sixteen points, eleven under leaders Pieta Hotspurs and ten under St. Andrew's. On the other hand, they are two points over fourth-placed Hibernians, five over Mosta and Qormi, nine over Hamrun Spartans and twelve over bottom-placed Balzan.
