Mr. Jean Pierre Portanier appointed Women's Team Coach

Birkirkara FC has appointed Mr. Jean Pierre Portanier as the Women's Senior Team Coach for the next three seasons.

Portanier, mostly known for his technical attributes, will be making his return to Women's Football, as in the past he had coached Melita and Raiders in Women's teams. He will be replacing Johann Scicluna, who was not offered a new contract with our Club.

Mr. Portanier enjoyed a long and successful eighteen-year spell with Melita in his coaching career where he coached all categories. He then moved to Raiders FC's Women's Team, followed with another two years with the Melita FC's Women's Team. He returned to men's football with a positive three-year spell with the Mgarr FC Under-19's Team, and then spent the last three years as the Head Coach of Ta' Xbiex FC.
