Under-15's Team advance to the Semi Final

Birkirkara FC Under-15's Team, who were crowned League Champions of Section A on Wednesday, on Sunday advanced to the Under-15's Knockout Semi-Final thanks to a 2-0 victory over Mosta FC.

The Stripes took some time to settle down, and they almost gifted Mosta the opening goal in the early stages. However, they recovered and increased their tempo to enjoy an edge over their opponents. Despite creating a number of scoring opportunities, the first-half ended goal-less.

In the second half, Birkirkara were more determined. Twenty minutes into the second half, they surged ahead thanks to team's top scorer Ayrton Attard with a well-taken strike. Ten minutes later, they scored the second and final goal when Attard was in action once again, this time by crossing to Kyle Mifsud who tapped home from close-range.

The Stripes will now face St. Andrew's in the Semi-Final of the competition. The match will be played on Wednesday, 10 June, at 19:45.
