Tara Attard joins Birkirkara FC

Tara Attard is the first signing for the Birkirkara FC Women's Team, after our Club reached an agreement with Kirkop United FC over the loan for one year for the promising defender.

Tara, who plays as a defender, is a product of the Kirkop United Nursery. She joined our Club for the first time last year on a one-year loan basis, and she had a positive season. During last season, she had thirteen appearances in the BOV Women's First Division League. She was also a regular choice in Girls Under-16's League where she had several solid performances.

Tara said “I am very happy that I'm going to play for Birkirkara F.C. once again. I decided to join this Club once again because last year it was a very good one. I enjoyed it so much, thanks to my team-mates, coaches and committee.”

The new season is just round the corner, as in two weeks time, Birkirkara, who are the Women's Knockout Winners will be facing Hibernians FC, who won the league last year. Tara said “Preparations for the new season are going very well mainly because of the team's determination and sacrifices. My preparations are also going very well. I'm feeling settled here, thanks to everyone involved with this Club.”

Tara concluded by saying “We want to challenge for all the honours while enjoying our season. I believe that we can do it due all the sacrifices and the hard work of the squad. I'm working to improve on my previous season as this is my wish for the upcoming season. I want this season to be a season to remember!”

Tara will be available for Coach Mr. Johann Scicluna's selection for the BOV Super Cup against Champions Hibernians FC. The match is going to be played at the Centenary Stadium and it will kick-off at 19:30.
