Stripes back to training
by Ayrton Galea - 2nd June 2014Birkirkara FC has officially started the preparations for the 2014-2015 season from today as the senior squad returned to training.
Following a five week break, the squad went back to training and to prepare for UEFA Europa League commitments. Birkirkara will be starting this competition in the first qualification round and they are the only Maltese seeded team.
The Club will be seeking to prepare in the best and most professional way for the UEFA Europa League commitments. In fact, as part of the pre-season preparations, Birkirkara will be holding an eight day training camp from the 12 to the 19 June in Chambon Sur Lignon, a French town near St. Etienne.
Matheus Bissi has already arrived in Malta and should start training with the squad from Monday. The other foreign duo Nikola Vukanac and Alejandro Mendoza should also be joining the squad this week. Another two new foreign players will be joining the squad this week as well. On the other hand, Leighton Grech who was loaned to Qormi last season, is back with the squad.
For this week, Birkirkara will be training from Monday till Friday at the Mgarr Training Grounds starting at 18:30.
