Shola Shodiya - BOV Player of the month for February

Shola Shodiya produced superb performances in the month of February including scoring four goals and the tireless Birkirkara forward was named as the BOV Player of the month for February 2014.

With a tally of 11 goals for Birkirkara by the end of February, the Nigerian forward is an integral part of coach Paul Zammit's attacking trio alongside Jhonnattann Benites and Frank Temile. In his current form, Shodiya will definitely prove to be one of the factors in Birkirkara's bid for a second successive BOV Premier League title.

Following clinching this award, Shola shared his views with this website about this personal achievement. “I am very happy for winning this award as I knew that its not easy. I hope that I'll keep this form.”

Shodiya, who plays a key figure in Birkirkara's forward line, still believes that Birkirkara can win the title, “Yes, I believe that we can win the title because we are the best team irrelevant of losing the last match. It doesn't change a thing.”

Mario Delia from Bank of Valletta's Birkirkara Branch presented the BOV Player of the Month Trophy for February 2014 to Shola Shodiya.
