Ryan Camenzuli signs a five year contract
by Ivan Mizzi - 12th November 2013Ryan Camenzuli, has signed his first professional contract. Just a few moments ago, Ryan, who is Birkirkara FC Youth Nursery product has put pen to paper on a five year deal with our Club.
Having been called to the Senior Team at just seventeen years old, Ryan has managed to establish himself as one of the most promising youngsters that the Birkirkara FC Youth Nursery produced. Ryan is one of five Youth Nursery product that currently form part of the Senior Squad, the others being Joseph Zerafa, Ryan Scicluna, Rowen Muscat and Kurt Zammit. This shows the Club's commitment to give a chance to its youngsters, while still being Malta's top Club.
Ryan made his Premier League debut on 30 January 2011, when he was included as a substitute in the match against Vittoriosa Stars which the Stripes won with one goal to nil. Since his debut, Ryan continued to gain more playing time, and in the last season, he made 25 appearances in the Premier League, while managing to net three goals and being voted thrice as the BOV Man of the Match.
Ryan who turned nineteen years old last September also forms part of the Under 21 National Squad led by Mr. Ray Farrugia.
We would like to wish Ryan the best of luck, while we hope that more Birkirkra FC Youth Nursery players will follow in his steps and prove themselves by making it to the Senior Team.
