Zach Muscat renews contract

Promising youngster Zach Muscat has just renewed his contract with our Club and he has signed a new three year deal.

With this signing, the Birkirkara squad continues to increase its strength. The Stripes have made another addition in their rear-guard, joining no less than four foreigners namely Alejandro Mendoza, Nikola Vukanac, Jonathan Marciel and Ricardo Jimenez.

It is definitely no surprise that the Club had offered the promising youngster another contract with the Stripes as Muscat's performances were excellent. Despite his young age he manage to establish himself amongst the Premier League's best defenders. Zach made a total of 26 appearances and he started no less than 20 matches and was included as a substitute in the other six. Muscat also managed to find the net two times.

Still fresh in the memory of most is Zach's goal in the league decider match played on the 11 May 2013, in Birkirkara's 3-1 victory over Hibernians. Zach scored the third goal to seal the issue for the Stripes.

We would like to wish Zach the best of luck in his second consecutive spell with our Club.
