Women's Team to face Gozo

Birkirkara FC Women's Team will be involved in another tricky encounter when this Sunday afternoon, they will start as hot favourites as they take on Gozo FC.
Thanks to a strong-character performance in their last outing, which improved drastically in the second half, Birkirkara managed to beat Hibernians with a 3-1 score to consolidate their place on top of the table as joint-leaders with Mosta.
After sharing the spoils in an entertaining 2-2 draw against Mosta, the Stripes made a bold statement of their intentions of not giving up by returning to winning ways last Tuesday. The victory against Hibernians was the Stripes' sixteenth unbeaten match.
On the other hand, following a strong start of the league, Gozo seemed to have lost their form and they are still seeking their first points in the Championship Pool.
The Gozitans suffered no less than 24 goals in the four matches played in the Championship Pool, and they conceded a heavy 7-0 defeat to Mosta in their last match.
Birkirkara and Gozo so far met three times this season. Following an entertaining 3-3 result in the first round which was also played in Gozo, the Stripes defeated the Gozitans in the second and third round matches with a 2-0 and a 6-0 score respectively.
The match will be played at the Sannat Grounds and is scheduled to kick off at 15:00.
