Women's Team to kick off Championship Pool Phase

The BOV Women's First Division League Championship Pool phase will kick off in style as in a much awaited match, Birkirkara will face Hibernians for the challenge of the second place position.
The Stripes ended the second round on a high note as they made it four from four in their last outings as they registered a very comfortable 7-0 victory over Pembroke. Without any doubt, the win served as another confirmation of the team's huge potential especially after all the difficult hurdles they managed to overcome so far.
On the other hand, Hibernians are also keen to keep their positive run as they are also targeting the Women's First Division League title. After they shared the spoils with Mosta in the top of the table clash, they returned to winning ways as they defeated Mgarr United with a late strike which put them back on track.
Both teams are jointly in the second place with 33 points, three behind leaders Mosta who will face Gozo just before the Stripes' match at the same venue.
The match will be played at the Mgarr grounds and it is scheduled to kick off at 20:15.
