Weekend with a difference

Seeing that the Senior Team did not have any match commitments, a different programme from usual was prepared by the technical team and the committee. The aim was to use this weekend for team building.

On Saturday morning, the Senior Team players, accompanied by the technical staff and members of the committee visited the Corradino Correctional Facilities. The players played four mini matches of 25 minutes each, against the inmates team.

Birkirkara FC presented a full set of football gears to the inmates team, to encourage them to continue with keeping sports and particularly football in their lives. A set of bibs and footballs, provided by Eurosport were also presented.

Following the football matches, the Birkirkara FC contingent was given a tour of the facilities.

On Sunday, the Senior Team players, technical staff and committee members together with their families and partners met for Sunday lunch. This served as a great opportunity for all those involved with the first team and their loved ones to get to know each other a bit better.
