Birkirkara FC in bid to host Women's Champions League games

Birkirkara FC has just applied with UEFA to host one of the UEFA Women's Champions League mini tournaments in the Qualifying Round. This is the first time that a Maltese side has applied to host this event. The outcome of this application will be decided by means of a draw, on the 27th June.

The mini-tournament, will take place between the 10 to 18 August, and will see Birkirkara FC competing against another three European Clubs. There will be other mini-tournaments taking place at the same time. The group winners of these 4-team mini-tournaments will then qualify for the Main Round.
