Jorge Santos Silva interviewed

This week we decided to interview another new acquisition made, the winger Jorge Santos Silva. In an interesting interview with the Brazilian, we talked about his personal life, and his career and other topics.

Who is Jorge Santos Silva?

A guy who enjoys making new friends, is calm and sincere.

What is your relationship status?

Married.

Can you tell us how you spend a regular day?

With my wife, and my playing with my son because he loves to play football. I like to go to restaurants, especially McDonald's.

What are your main hobbies beside football?
Playing ball with my son and playing video games.

Do you like music?
I like all kinds of Brazilian music.

Which is your favorite team abroad?
Real Madrid

Who were your football heroes when you were growing up? And who are your football heroes now?

Romario and Ronaldo. Now Cristiano Ronaldo.

Who is your favorite winger? Why?

Cristiano Ronaldo, because he is very fast with the ball and is very capable.

What can you tell us about your adventures with other clubs?

Thank god I've had some nice experiences, for example winning the state championship in 2007 and playing for Parana Sao Paulo 2009

Did you ever imagine you would be playing in Malta? What is your impression of Malta?

Yes, because I have friends who played here in Malta, and they always told me that Malta is a country well-structured, with such beautiful places, good restaurants and good places to have fun.

Can you tell us your all time favorite match or goal that you scored?

I can or you can watch it here. It was the day my son was born.

Several players have rituals or habits before matches. Do you have any?

Yes, I pray to God to ask for help for me and my companions.

Why did you decide to join our Club?

It is a great club and very well structured with good players and good coaches.

After just few days with our club, how are you feeling?

I am very happy to play here.

How is your relationship with your new team mates? Who is your best team mate so far?

I have a very good relationship with everyone but right now my best friends are Rodrigo and Moises Avila Perez because I can communicate better with them.

What are your comments about the last match? Do you agree that the score does not really reflect what happened during the match?

The score does not reflect the overall match, because we could have scored more goals but the important thing was the three points.

In our opinion, you had a satisfactory debut. What are your comments on your first match with our Club?

Thanks, but I know I can give much more. I was not 100% fit, but I'm happy with the debut.

What are your comments about the next match?

It will not be an easy game, but we are working hard to win the game.

Do you believe that we will beat Hamrun Spartans?

Yes, because our team is very good, with all due respect to our opponents. We will enter the field to win

What are your targets with our Club?

To win many titles for the club, starting with the trophy.

Would you rather we win the FA Trophy, or place with the first three in the Premier League?

Birkirkara have the chance to be among the three in the premier league, but right now my opinion is better to win the trophy and to play in UEFA.

What are the most important things in your life?

First God, then my family and my work.

How important are the supporters for you and do you have a message for them?

I think that the crowd has a very important role for the club; they give strength and motivation to always achieve a positive outcome. I want to thank them for accepting me with love and with open arms. I tell them that I will always do my best to bring positive results to the club.
