Trevor Cilia's views
by Ayrton Galea - 11th August 2010Following Tuesday night's win over the newly promoted 1st Division side, it was the time for the international player, Trevor Cilia to express his views on the previous match.
His first comments about the game were, "It was an important game especially for our coach to further analyse the foreigners on trial while taking notes on our youngsters who had an opportunity to prove their football skills"
Then, Trevor was asked about his personal physique since he has been ruled out for the past three weeks due to his wrist injury. Trevor's words showed total determination as he said, " Personally, it was a very important match as I want to build up my match practice after I'd been ruled out due to injury for three weeks. What was important for me to achieve most, besides scoring, was to show total commitment with my team mates and help in every department when necessary. On a physical note, I am feeling fine although there's always room for improvement; but I promise that I will be in top shape for the important match against Valletta where we will be battling for the Super Cup"
Finally, his last comments were about his last memorable season and his preparations for the upcoming season, "Last season, no one had predicted that Birkirkara would be crowned champions, but, thanks to the total determination from all the sectors of the club and all my team mates, technical staff and the committee, we started to believe that we could bring it home, and in fact, we achieved what we wanted. But that is the past; we know what is waiting ahead of us: another challenging Premier League. But we feel prepared and, once again, our target remains, as always, to achieve more honours."
