Third consecutive defeat for Birkirkara.

Birkirkara suffered yet another defeat for the third time in a row, this time at the hands of Sliema W.

The match itself didn't have much of a story, as 'The Stripes' looked to be far off from the form which kept them chasing the top spots for most part of this season.

The only goal of the match arrived after sixty-two minutes, as Miguel Ciantar managed to beat Omar Borg with a fine shot.

With this defeat, our team is now seriously risking loosing the second spot in the BOV Premier League 2008-2009, as the 'Blues' are now lurking in fourth place with just two points behind our side.

Now that the third round is finished, from which our side has collected just six points from a possible fifteen, it's imperative for our team to look forward and try to collect as much points as possible in the last round.
